Bob became a Partner with the Firm in January 2005. He has a general litigation practice with specialties in divorce, civil litigation, DWI defense, municipal law and development.
As a family practitioner, Bob represents men and women dealing with the difficult issues surrounding divorce, including issues related to tax liability, custody and property distribution. He has tried cases before juries and judges in the New Hampshire and Massachusetts District Courts, Superior Courts and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. As a planning and zoning attorney, he has represented municipal clients, abutters and developers before local land use boards and before the New Hampshire Superior and Supreme Courts. His litigation practice includes representation of clients as Plaintiff and Defense counsel on a variety of civil and criminal issues before the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Superior Courts. He has also represented clients before various administrative agencies, including successfully defending numerous clients on DWI charges before the New Hampshire Department of Safety.
Bob was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, and grew up in Kingston, New Hampshire. He received his BA, as well as a post-graduate business degree, from the University of New Hampshire. He spent 20 years in the business sector before returning to law school. He received his law degree from the Massachusetts School of Law Andover, where he was selected to participate in the Judicial Law Clerk Honors Program and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in December 1995.
Bob's legal career includes employment with Pease Development Authority and in private practice concentrating in the areas of municipal law, zoning, residential and commercial real estate conveyance, and civil litigation.
Bob has had extensive experience on local planning and zoning boards, serving as Chairman of the Brentwood Planning Board, and as a Selectman for Brentwood, New Hampshire. Bob is the current chairman of the Madbury Zoning Board of Adjustment. He has served as a faculty member for the Institute for Paralegal Education. He is a member of Charles C. Doe Inns of Court, New Hamsphire Trial Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association, and is a former member of the Board of Directors of New Outlook in Exeter, New Hampshire. Bob is currently on the Board of Directors of the Rockingham County Bar Association.
Bob resides in Madbury, New Hampshire, with his wife, Kerri, a software-licensing attorney. They have three sons: Scott, Michael and Christian and a daughter Abigail.
